Osage Inside Access Guided Tour

It is highly recommended that you take this quick tour of the main features and operation of Osage Inside Access.  (Use the Next and Prev buttons above to navigate.)  This will get you going in a short period of time.  Once you are comfortable with the basics and the possibilities, you can use the Reference Section for specific information on each feature.

If you have Osage Inside Access running, you can practice the steps as you go through them.  But this is not necessary.

First Some Definitions

As "pictured" by the abstract form below, the top (parent) frame will contain objects from this application (tables, queries, forms, etc.), along with buttons for easy one-click access.

The bottom (child) frame will contain any dependencies found for the selected parent record, along with buttons for easy one-click access to the dependent objects.

Notes:

  • Each of these windows behaves like an Access form.  That is, you can sort and filter by any of the fields using the right mouse button, etc.  BUT most of the time, you will not need to do this, as Osage Inside Access will do most of the work for you!
  • Parent Records are entered automatically by the First Time Use Wizard, or by the Populate function from the main form. You can also enter them manually.  More on this coming up!

--> Use the Next and Prev buttons at the top to navigate through the guided tour.
