Step 7: Manually Adding and Deleting Parent/Child Records
Manually Adding Parent Records
- This is often useful if you want to search for all occurrences of a particular object or string.
- Click on the Add New Row button
, it's as simple as that. (Of course, you can always just scroll to the bottom of the list and navigate to the record that way.)
- Note: pressing SHIFT and Add New Row will copy the contents of the copy/paste buffer. This is handy: you can be in code, copy an object name or sequence of characters, and then quickly get them into a parent row, for opening, searching, etc.
Deleting Parent Records
- Clicking on the Delete button will let you delete the current parent record.
- Note: you can use the Record Selectors to select more than one record, and delete multiples that way.
Manually Adding Child Records
- Click on the Add New Row button
, it's as simple as that. (Of course, you can always just scroll to the bottom of the list and navigate to the record that way.)
- Note: pressing SHIFT and Add New Row will copy the contents of the copy/paste buffer. This is handy: you can be in code, copy an object name or sequence of characters, and then quickly get them into a parent row, for opening, searching, etc.
Deleting Child Records
